THE MIDNIGHT SPECIAL TUTORIAL SERIES
====================================
READ1ST.DOC (c) 1993 H. Hunter
This is the first bit of information you should read about
setting up and using this tutorial program. You can find out
more by using one or both available methods.
The first (and interesting) way is to complete a tutorial
designed just for the person who has registered, or is planning
to register this program. THAT'S YOU. I thought that since you
will be having your students do a tutorial then you should try a
little of your own medicine. It is short and more interesting
to read than the plain white hard copy. To start the teacher
tutorial type the following DOS command in quotes exactly as it
is shown below. The tutorial is very user friendly and is full
of helpful information.
A:>"TWTEACH ME" then hit "Enter".
The second (and boring) way is to type the following DOS command
in quotes exactly as it is shown below.
A:>"MANUAL" then hit "Enter"
The text of the manual will appear on the screen. You will be
given the option to print the text, or you may read through it
by using the PgUp and PgDn keys.
ARE YOU IN A HURRY TO START THE STUDENT TUTORIAL?
If you want to get started with the student tutorial right away
then just type INSTALL from the A:> prompt. The program will make
a directory and install all the necessary files into it. The next
step is to write the ANSI.SYS driver into the CONFIG.SYS of your
computer. This is easy to do, but you may want to check your DOS
manual for instructions or see the Tutorial manual for more
details in the Tutorial Installation Section.
After the CONFIG.SYS has been modified change to the Tutorial
directory. Type the name of the directory at the prompt and hit
"Enter". This will start the student tutorial.
Example. If Tutorial directory is eec.
Type "eec" and hit "Enter".
End
